Welcome Home Chris!

After serving his country in Iraq for nearly six months, Big Tree Assistant Chief Chris Hull finally returned home. Family, friends and members of the Big Tree Fire Company were on hand at the Niagara Falls Air Force Base to greet Chris and welcome him home.

Hull, a long-time member of the Big Tree Fire Company, has also been actively involved in the Air Force Reserves for numerous years. Serving as a captain in the medical arm of the Niagara Falls Air Force Reserve, Chris volunteered to deploy to Iraq to provide medical treatment to injured soldiers. While on duty in Baghdad Iraq, Hull treated hundreds of severely injured soldiers and Iraqi civilians. Hull also flew numerous air-evac missions to retrieve injured soldiers from the field.

While Hull was gone to Iraq, the Big Tree Fire Company took delivery of a new rescue truck which Hull was integral in designing. As a surprise to Hull, Big Tree arranged to have the new truck on the tarmac at the Air Force Base as Hull returned.
