Firefighters On Display At Annual Erie County Fair

During the two week run of the Erie County Fair, firefighters from Big Tree engaged in numerous activities. The annual Firemen's Parade and Firemen's Recognition Day drew thousands of firefighters from throughout Western New York. A tribute to the events of September 11, 2001 was the theme of this year's Firemen Day. The Big Tree Marching Unit appeared in the annual parade and firefighters also took part in a special service in rememberance of the firefighters lost during the September 11th attacks.

In addition to participating in the Firemen's Day activities, Big Tree Firefighters participated in fire prevention demonstrations, auto-extrication demonstrations and safety standbys at the fair. On Sunday, firefighters will standby at the highly anticipated demolition derby.
