Hamburg, NY: Firefighters from throughout the
Town of Hamburg and Evans joined together in Lake View to conduct live-fire
training. The Lake View Fire Company hosted the training which included
a number of live-burn evolutions. Firefighters practiced fire extinguishment

hose lines, fire suppression, overhaul, ventilation, and personnel accountability.
After everyone had the opportunity to serve on the attack line, the
backup line and the truck crew, the building was set ablaze and allowed
to burn to the ground. Crews manned master streams to protect exposures
and knock down wind-bourne embers
Crews from Big Tree, Blasdell, Evans Center, Highland
Hose, Lake Shore, Lake View, North Evans and Woodlawn participated in
the training. The instructors for the training included Eric Conley,
