Truck Company Training

Firefighters from the Big Tree, Blasdell and Woodlawn fire companies are conducting a joint training course on Truck Company Operations. The six week course focuses on all aspects of truck company operations including search and rescue, forcible entry, ventilation and ladders. Extensive hands-on evolutions afford the participants ample opportunity to build confidence working with various truck company tools. In addition to reviewing techniques and tactics, this joint training exercise provides firefighters the opportunity to work together before a fire occurs. Forty firefighters are attending the course.
